A lifer for the Equinox - Superb Fruit-dove - plus I trod in very fresh cassowary droppings. But no cassowary today.
This is the first Birdstack 'event' since we moved across the country, so our list is somewhat different than if we'd still been in Darwin. Our resident black butcherbird didn't come by that day, so we had to wait till we got into the forest to hear one carolling. At least our alarm-clock friarbird did his job, cackling by the bedroom window.
