Work and church obligations cut my equinox birding short, but I did manage to head out to the Patapsco Valley State Park for a few hours. This is the same place I went on my solstice trip, which was a complete failure, so I was worried the same would happen.
And, for about the first hour, I saw absolutely nothing. As desperation began to set it, finally, a crow! Not terribly interesting, but better than nothing. Soon after that, I managed to find some areas with less human activity and got some good sightings. No life birds or anything, but certainly an enjoyable afternoon.
