The North Temperate Zone

I ate breakfast looking out over the garden from the warmth of the kitchen and watched the frost dissipate as the sun slowly rose higher in the sky. The garden looks lovely at this time of year with daffodils flowering in the borders and the shrubs coming into leaf. Further evidence of spring was provided by two Eurasian Collared Doves canoodling on the garden fence... (RHicks)

The Tropics

Here in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea it's rainy season, and it's one of the most intense rainy seasons many people can remember. Mornings are often foggy; once in a great while, the fog burns off by mid-morning and we see the sun! Usually by early afternoon, black clouds are rolling in. (srvancott)
