Hairy Woodpecker (Picoides villosus)

Location: Savegre Mountain Hotel (San Gerardo de Dota, Provincia de San José, Costa Rica)
Notes:
Looked quite different from the North American race I'm familiar with. Belly brownish, not white. White spotting on wings and tail very limited -- appearing mostly black above except for white patch on back. Voice similar to NA birds.
