Notes:
huge (crow-sized), heavy-bodied friarbird with astonishingly loud call; brown mantle contrasted with white ruff around neck and whitish underparts; face black; often in groups calling and chasing each other, or feeding singly and quietly (if awkwardly) on banana or pau flowers; quite abundant around Lorengau and recently introduced onto Hus Island (c. 2000?)
