Red-flanked Lorikeet (Charmosyna placentis)

small, green birds with pointed tails and lorikeet-like calls; red patch on either side of breast and red underwings; red bill and apparently part of face; pale yellowish cap; females with red only on bill/face; yellow in tail and flight feathers; did not observe blue or yellow streaking on face -- whether this was due to distance or race I don't know
