I have a few bird photos from the Solomon Islands, but that was about 100 years ago before digital cameras. But I actually have a photo of a white cockatoo attacking my daughter when she was about 2! I was so busy taking photos of it I missed that it had jumped on her head!
I will have to dig out the photos of frigate birds, parrots, and kingfishers, too.

This is the first birding software I have seriously tried to use (apart from spreadsheets) as the others all seemed to be either Euro- or American-centric and seemed to be written for people with more spare time than me.
Your screen layout makes sense and the imports actually worked - though it took me three tries the first time so I have many triplicates. Which are slowly being weeded out.
But this thing is addictive! I know I will use this, so keep it developing.
I found Birdstack a couple of days ago and must say I quite like it, though I do not have sufficient data in yet to make good of the reporting facility.
What is the future of this site likely to be. I currently input in the UK to the British Trust for Ornithology's 'Birdtrack', which I know is sound. I would hate to put tons of effort into this to find it shuts next year.
Welcome to Birdstack! We hope you'll enjoy using the site.
While it's true that Birdstack does not (yet) have the backing of major organizations in the way that Birdtrack does, we aren't planning on disappearing anytime soon.
We're still actively developing the site and adding new features, and we're exploring opportunities for the site's future.
Several Birdstack members have indicated that they'd like the ability to make donations to help us keep the site up, and we've added a "Support Us" link to the top menu.
We're excited to see the growth of the Birdstack community so far and the enjoyment and benefit people are getting from the site. We expect that to continue for a long time to come.

Hi David. Wow, you're a man of many talents--I ran into this via someone's blog and said, "Hey, I know him!"
I'm a strictly amateur birder, but I think it is a lot of fun to keep track of what I see in my back yard.
Did you know we had a wild turkey living on the Center a few years ago? It disappeared one Thanksgiving...

Well hi! I didn't know you were interested in birds. :) How about birds from PNG?
Wonder who got the poor turkey. Some of these people have spent a little too long in the village....
Welcome to Birdstack!
