Every bird name I enter that has a possessive name (like Bewick's Wren) gives me an error on the apostrophe when I upload a file that originally came from ebirds, both at home or at work. My fault or a program eror?
We haven't been able to duplicate the problem you're having. I downloaded a file containing a possessive name (Cooper's Hawk) from eBird and was able to upload it successfully. It displayed oddly on the validation page (we will fix that), but it never gave errors and imported correctly.
Exactly what error are you getting? Could you maybe take a screen shot of the problem and send it to us? I think you have my email address.

It seems to be a problem with the way eBird encodes apostrophes in the files it generates. We're looking into it and hope to have an answer tomorrow.

OK, the display quirk has been fixed. Now instead of showing Cooper's Hawk, it will show Cooper's Hawk with files imported from eBird.
Does that fix the problem for you, or were you having another error?
