I saw what we Brits would call a Lesser Redpoll at lunchtime today. It's not in the database under that name, or Carduelis cabaret, so I guess it hasn't been split by the IOC from Common Redpoll. Is that right?
Should I record it as a Common Redpoll of the race cabaret?
Yes, that appears to be the case. You can write to the IOC folks through the contact form at their website (WorldBirdNames.org) if you need further clarification.
