I entered this name on a list from a Costa Rica trip and there was no match in the database, even though it is in the field guides to Costa Rica. If there has been a name change, I would appreciate the new moniker ....

This is bird I saw on 2 separate occasions near Puerto Vallarta, according to Peterson Field Guides, Mexican Birds. Birdstack does not recognize the name. How can I enter it?

Hello

I saw what we Brits would call a Lesser Redpoll at lunchtime today. It's not in the database under that name, or Carduelis cabaret, so I guess it hasn't been split by the IOC from Common Redpoll. Is that right?

Should I record it as a Common Redpoll of the race cabaret?

Unsure of exact species

Is there a way to add an observation of a bird when you don't know the exact species. For instance, I recently saw a big white egret--but I don't know if it was a cattle, great, or little. Is there a way to record that kind of observation?
